Gabriel's vehicle design project

Hello, my name is Gabriel and this webpage is about my Tinkercad 3D vehicle design.

The G Explorer is an all terrain exploration vehicle designed for desert terrain. The back wheels are powered by Hobby gearmotors while the front wheels are steered by a Micro servo, these along with the ultrasonic distance sensor and line following sensors are controlled by an Arduino Uno R3. All components are powered by a AAA battery pack. The design also includes a Motor Driver Board and a Motor Driver Shield.

While creating this design mutiple problems presented themselves, here are some examples: creating wheel arches, aligning wheel rods and hollowing out the G Explorer for extra lightness and mobility. One problem with the design is that the line following sensors (fitted in a strip of six between the two front wheels) have to be low to the ground which means that a problem is presented for the off-road capabilites of the design.Perhaps a plough to push dirt and sand out of the way of the line following sensors would fix the issue?

Throughout the Aber Robotics Club so far there has been many ups and downs. Although I have to say my favourite topic has been 3D vehicle design project in Tinkercad due to the fact that you could put in your own ideas and designs and it felt less like just fitting parameters. I also liked it because it was like drawing machines LVL.2! I did worst on the Arduino topic and could not complete many of the extension challenges and at least one gold challenge.
