MinE 2013 Design Blog

About the creator

Hello, my name is Minnie and I am 10 years old. I was first intrested in robotics when I was in yr 4 and my class did microbits. I joined robotics club september 2022 and I enjoy it a lot looking forward to the session every week.

About my design

Over the past few weeks I have been designing my cool race car. It includes a few things I like including my favourite colours (green + yellow) and skulls. And if you are a good detectives you've proboly noticed one of my fave details the monkey heads in the wheels.

Inbetween the two headlights sits a ultrasonic sensor to stop the car from bumping into walls.

Instead of a living thing siting in the drivers seat sits the arduino uno which controls the MinE 2013.

Inside the bonnet rests the motors and the motor conroller.

Things that went well and what I would change next time

I enjoyed puting details on the MinE 2013 and I think it went pretty well. I also love the fact that the arduino is driving!

Next time I would probably change the shape of the car so it's still aerodynamic but is a more round shape. I would also have put actual LED's as the headlights instead of solid shapes.

Whilst doing this design I learnt how to make hollow shapes in Tinkercad and how to use the program itself.

Robotics Club

My fave topic was designing my coooool car!

And anyone who is in robotics club will know it's the 100% best club ever!

I also greatly enjoyed learning the arduino coding last year, even thought it was the most challangeing thing yet.

Tips and Tricks for begginer coders

If you want to know some tricks about coding in arduino uno you are in the right place. Here I will show you how to do three things.

1. Before the Start, forever loop and functions ALWAYS put the word void.

2. When doing functions remember to put ()
