Aber Robotics Week 2024

Aberystwyth University's Intelligent Robotics Group are hosting our annual Aber Robotics Week 15th - 21st June 2024 as part of the UK Festival of Robotics.

BeachLab: Saturday 15th June 10am - 4pm

A photograph of all those involved in BeachLab 2023 outside Aberystwyth Bandstand.

We are returning to our seaside location of Aberystwyth Bandstand.

This event is a public showcasing of robots from, but not limited to, research, outreach, student and staff hobbyists, and educators.

We will also have guest exhibits from local companies and groups.

Robotics Week Activities

Science Cafe: Technology for Supporting Independent Living

A selection of robots and smart equipment for smart home usage.

Dr Patricia Shaw, the Leader of our Intelligent Robotics Research Group at Aberystwyth University will be speaking on how smart technology can be used to support independent living.

This is hosted by Aberystwyth Science Cafe and is open to all.

Please join us at the Arts Centre on our Penglais Campus before the 7:30pm start on Monday 17th June.

Robot Olympics

An event organised with Ceredigion County Council's Education Department.

Pupils from schools across Ceredigion will be joining us on campus to participate in a Lego Robot competition.

There will be a trophy for the overall winner.
